"BluePRINT" would support WYPW's organisational sustainability and plan for the creation of a new heritage arts centre: West Yorkshire Print Workshop's Northern Centre for Print. This project would engage, and consult with, stakeholders to plan and co-design a centre to widen participation in the heritage of, and contemporary use, of print. This would be through: 1.) Research and drawing together the heritage story of printmaking in West Yorkshire to inform future programming 2.) Create a space needs appraisal for WYPW's future to ensure heritage skills are passed on in a centre of excellence 3.) To assess the business modelling, centring around traditional and heritage printmaking and a place to grow creative jobs, and carry out market research to inform this 4.) Commissioning work to identify building options (in heritage buildings) and carry out condition surveys and initial costings and drawings for these buildings; in preparation for future funding bids.
