Nature And Landscape
Through the Brecks Landscape Resilience project, we will secure lasting legacy for the nationally significant, though non-designated, landscapes of the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecks. Building on 13 years of NLHF-supported success, a legacy Landscape Partnership will develop a strategic, sustainable model for heritage conservation and community-led landscape management. Key recommendations from the Brecks Options Study will be embedded via collaborative delivery and a 10-year Partnership Board-endorsed business plan. An innovative evaluation framework will evidence outcomes and advocate future investment. A co-developed Biodiversity and Heritage Curriculum will inspire young custodians, while inclusive outreach will engage underrepresented communities. A landscape brand identity will foster connection and participation. A resilient governance model, underpinned by a sustainable business plan, will enable long-term delivery and financial independence. Through bold, scalable approaches, this project will position the Brecks as a national exemplar, ensuring NLHF’s investment delivers inclusive, innovative, and enduring impact for people, place, and heritage.
