Culture And Memory
Bringing the Past to Life: Exploring Identity, Culture and History in the Modern World
The primary objective of this project is to ensure the preservation of the ROMA history, culture, and heritage for the coming decades, ensuring that they are not overlooked or forgotten. Throughout numerous centuries, the Roma community has been compelled to conceal their true identity as a result of pervasive segregation and discrimination, leading to the unfortunate loss of the Romani language and the forgetting of their roots and history by many Roma individuals. Our intention with this initiative is to revive what has been neglected, fill in the gaps, preserve and pass on to future generations and raise awareness of these important facets.
