Culture And Memory

Celebrating 40 years of Hackney City Farm

Hackney City Farm was founded in 1984 and 2024 will be it's 40th year working in the community. To celebrate this wonderful achievement we would like to produce a film covering some of the highlights and successes over the years and record some of the stories and memories of people involved in the project. This will create a memorable archive of the Farm’s work and will be first shown later in 2024 at a special celebration event. It will then be subsequently available digitally to watch on the Farm’s website. The grant will be used to pay for someone with the necessary skills to work with a small group of volunteers to research the content, write and produce and be involved in the editing of the film. We are also looking for a contribution towards the launch event.
