Churchyard Secrets Shared

We will create a lasting legacy for the Fewston Assemblage (FA) by conserving its heritage, sharing with others, engaging learners, celebrating its achievements and inspiring new work. This will also secure the original investment. This legacy will be achieved through establishing a coherent FA collection and digitally sharing this collection of osteological and social history findings with a broader audience. Access is limited at present to those who visit the Washburn Heritage Centre (WHC) or its website. We will complete the research and incorporate the significant research which has taken place since our last project was completed. To engage new audiences, innovative interpretation and educational resources will be developed. Our first project 'Churchyard Secrets Revealed' has received significant global praise from academic institutions and the general public; by documenting the process and sharing it we will influence and support other projects to deliver best practice.
