Nature And Landscape
Our privately managed woodland will contribute to the National Forest Network by being an ecologically significant site. We will increase accessibility for those with mobility challenges and improve existing local footpaths for locals and tourists incorporating bilingual signage. We will continue to improve the biodiversity and ecosystem services that the woodland delivers. We will provide significant contracts to local businesses thus delivering economic benefits. We will partner with Coed Lleol, Llais y Goedwig, Coed Cadw and others to communicate and provide training and community engagement days around the project areas which we aim to deliver now and into the future. We will continue to support woodland thinning work (under the UK Forestry Standards) to diversify the age structure of existing trees, which in turn will provide climate resilience. We will deliver a long term forest management plan to sympathetically manage the woods and deliver sustainable timber production.
