Nature And Landscape
We will build on 30+ years of community involvement in our 15-acre woodland, ensuring a lasting legacy for future generations - good quality, well managed resilient woodlands as part of the National Forest, focussing on accessibility, education and connection to nature. We will link up many elements from our previous TWIG project (2022). A continuation of access work to complete circular all season trails. Removing barriers (physical & cultural) by installing infrastructure and interpretation enabling everyone to enjoy the nature reserve, for health and wellbeing, whatever their ability and through the medium of Welsh as appropriate. We will arrange public events to demonstrate the value of our woodlands for learning and research, climate change mitigation and recreational purposes. We will carry out surveys, update our management plan to be a UKFS compliant 10-year plan with associated volunteer work programmes and create publications incorporating training and skill development for local people.
