#Coed2 Erlas Woodland

Erlas Victorian Walled Garden has recently been awarded National Forest for Wales status. Additional land has recently been secured making the site increase in size from 0.9 hectares to 2.3 hectares. The vision is to create a fully accessible woodland with accessible paths, communication boards, improved and managed natural areas, additional native tree planting and a wooden creative hut. The area would be extending the National Forest for Wales as it is situated next to the current boundary, it is the intention to link the two woodlands with an accessible path. Individuals and communities will play a key role in the development of the woodland. This area will be preserved under a 99 year lease for generations to come, and is a much needed addition to a most wonderful resource on the edge of a deprived area of the city.
