Nature And Landscape
Our vision is for Park Wood to be a healthy, species-rich, broadleaf woodland that supports native wildlife to thrive. The site will be managed for biodiversity and a valued part of Talgarth and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. It will be accessible and welcoming for local people, groups and visitors. The woodland will be a place of choice for walkers, families and people wishing to enjoy nature. Our relationship with the Talgarth Woodland Community Group will flourish into an exemplar for community woodland management. The volunteers will have the skills, training and equipment that they need to care for their local woodland. The local economy we be supported through responsibly harvested timber. Park Wood will support the ambitions of the National Forest for Wales, showcasing how landowners can collaborate with communities to deliver woodland restoration, achieving multiple benefits, both ecological and social, that would not be possible by working alone.
