#COED2 Restoration and Reinvigoration of Maritime Woodland at Treborth Botanic Garden

Promote and improve access that safeguards ecological value, remove barriers to access through waymarking, interpretation, path networks, generate capacity for physical and mental wellbeing activities and give people permission to take up space in nature. Provide exciting, meaningful learning experiences to volunteers, students and visitors through a diverse programme of works. Develop vocational opportunities in traditional, practical skills, science communication, research-projects and NTFPs for food, medicine and craft. Increase multi-level engagement levels with our community highlighting the value of their woodland. Involving our community at all stages of development is crucial. Achieve management balance: creating dynamic, quality, resilient woodland networks by developing low or no-intervention zones, sensitively managed areas, celebrating traditional practices. We want to restore our cultural history, exploring the past and its influence on the woodland today. Create opportunities to discover our hidden heritage, learn about our local area, who and how it has been shaped over time.
