#COED6 Coed a Chymuned / #COED6 Trees and Community

#COED6 Coed a Chymuned / #COED6 Woodland and Community will restore, protect and celebrate two ecologically rich and culturally significant local nature reserves (LNRs) on Anglesey, Cyttir Mawr LNR (Llandegfan) and Aberlleiniog and Llangoed LNR (Llangoed). Our ambition is to create resilient, biodiverse and accessible reserves while empowering local people to take an active role in their care. The project will directly contribute to the National Forest for Wales by strengthening Anglesey’s woodland corridor with well-managed, accessible and connected sites, By aligning our habitat works with the UK Forestry Standard, we will ensure that interventions enhance resilience and deliver sustainable timber and non-timber resources for community use. Multiple benefits will arise from this project including richer biodiversity, improved health and wellbeing through volunteering and wellbeing sessions, skills development, local contracting and the celebration of Welsh heritage through crafts, language and historic landscapes.
