#COED6 Coed a Dwr Clywedog

At Hafren Dyfrdwy, we are dedicated to tackling the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss. We believe that protecting our environment is a shared journey. Our project will improve the quality, connectivity and resilience of the woodlands at Llyn Clywedog whilst increasing accessibility to visitors and including the local community. We will achieve this through carefully planned woodland works across two areas, the peninsula and Afon Biga. The development of a Woodland Management Plan will ensure a long-term vision and sustainable future for the woodland habitats across the site. These biodiverse woodlands will become eligible for National Forest for Wales Status. Creating a “Friends Of” group will encourage active participation of local residents in the stewardship and appreciation of nearby natural habitats. Work to improve accessibility for all visitors will ensure that the site is welcoming and inclusive, enabling everyone to connect with nature.
