Nature And Landscape

#COED6 Cwm Mynach

Our vision is for Cwm Mynach to be a healthy, species-rich, mosaic of habitats that supports native wildlife to thrive. The site will be managed for biodiversity and host a wealth of rare, specialist species that are unique to our precious temperate rainforests. The wood will be a valued part of the Welsh landscape, Eryri National Park and Coed Cadw’s (CC) estate. The site will be accessible and welcoming for local people and visitors, whilst also being a haven for wildlife. Signage and interpretation will help people to connect to the heritage of the site and understand how to behave to protect those fragile features. Our relationship with the local Woodland Working Group will be strengthened through volunteer recruitment and offering a range of conservation tasks. Cwm Mynach will become a part of the National Forest for Wales and a showpiece for woodland restoration in a wilderness rich in heritage.
