#COED6 Erlas - Oak Woodland Project

The plan for this grant funding is to restore an area of woodland, make it accessible to all and connecting it to other parts of woodland at Erlas, making a larger area of National Forest for Wales. Erlas would construct a unique raised platform to enable all persons, regardless of ability, to immerse themselves in the woodland, just below the forest canopy. The scrub would be removed and disused small outbuildings, which are currently an eyesore and in a state of disrepair, would be removed from within the woodland area. New trees and native plants would be planted to aid the woodland restoration and future preservation of the area. Community focused educational sessions would be run from the dynamic multipurpose woodland for all age groups and abilities.
