The project will achieve the following: ? National Forest Status achieved through: o Facilitating better management of the woodlands by creating a stockproof boundary (fences and cattle grids), enclosing 202ha for future wood pasture conservation grazing; o Woodland management plan; o Educational activities and woodland based learning; o New education / recreational shelter; o Connect Alwen and Clocaenog Forests with trees and canopy bridges using volunteer and community groups; o Woodland nature trail connecting the Visitor Centre to the NWWT Osprey lookout and volunteering and community hub. ? Interpretive filming and photography ? Creation of marketing resources ? Countryside / heritage event ? 3.2ha of tree thinning ? Facilitate an option to return Vaynol cattle to Wales The above deliverables will assist in improving biodiversity, soil health, water protection, landscape conservation, and climate resilience, in accordance with UK Forestry Standards
