#COED6 Restoring Penllergare

Restoring Penllergare is focused on improving the condition of Penllergare Valley Woods whilst providing even greater inclusive access to this much loved community green space for visitors and volunteers alike. The project will see the Trust delivering its ambitious Woodland Management Plan in line with UK Forestry standards, whilst helping address the pressures on the site from increasing visitor numbers and neighbouring planned development. The Project will help protect and secure this important woodland corridor of connectivity between Gower and the rest of Wales from the threats it faces from invasive non-native plants. At the heart of the plans are the local community; with attracting and investing in new volunteers being a major focus. The project will help to restore the significant landscape heritage of the site whilst investing in new interpretation, signage and trails to help tell its story.
