Nature And Landscape
Our project will support the delivery of our Woodland Management Plan and help maintain our National Forest for Wales Status by transforming Coed Whitton into a vibrant, multi-purpose centre for environmental education, biodiversity and community engagement in line with UK Forestry Standards. Funding will allow us to: • Install Bilingual Interpretation: Provide engaging informative content in both Welsh and English about conservation and woodland wildlife including our exciting beaver project to promote public involvement. • Create Themed Trails and Outdoor Learning Resources: Develop self-guided walking routes with interactive learning points to encourage exploration and understanding of the woodland environment. • Build Wildlife Discovery Areas: Create nature-inspired spaces that combine recreation with hands-on learning, helping families and children connect with local wildlife and biodiversity. • Implement Woodland Enhancement: Plant trees and manage habitats to increase biodiversity, improve connectivity between woodland areas and mitigate climate change impacts.
