Crich Tramway Village - Foundations First

The Tramway Museum Society aims to set the foundations for significant strategic growth, and new capital investment in its museum. This work would comprise enhanced collections care and improving the visitor offer. This project is the next step to build on achievements during the last seven years ; 1) Improving the collection, updated analysis and useability of audience and potential audience data, in order to better understand peoples’ current needs, motivations and interests, and enable the planning of projects which engage new audiences, 2) Supporting volunteer recruitment, management and staff/ volunteer succession planning and training. The project will embed a new Volunteer Co-ordinator, aligned with volunteer enrichment plans and a refreshed volunteer offer, engaging with new stakeholders and communities, 3) Assisting the Board of Directors and senior management with the production of a refreshed Business Plan, to cover the immediate period 2024-29, but also to project forward longer-term strategic goals.
