Nature And Landscape

Daisybank Heritage and Ecology Project

We want to acquire a local green space which has been used by local people for generations and has now been put up for sale. We wish to: • conserve and maintain the priority habitat calcareous grassland, natural habitats, flora and fauna to ensure its ecological sustainability and its public amenity and maintain its status as open land within the Cotswold National Landscape (AONB) • preserve the rights of way and historic tramway route on Daisybank, connecting the community to the Cotswold escarpment, site of special scientific interest and publicly-owned land at Leckhampton Hill. • promote biodiversity by implementing practices that attract and support diverse wildlife and plant species. • engage and involve the local community in events, decision-making, volunteer activities, maintenance and education about the historical importance of Daisybank.
