Derbyshire Makes History – celebrating Derbyshire’s heritage of making. (NB - Derbyshire Makes History is the project's working title, for all project management systems. Likely promoted to the public via established Derbyshire Makes brand.)

Derbyshire Makes History aims to: ? enable the heritage sector to capitalise on the benefits of the wider Derbyshire Makes programme, an ambitious countywide creative programme across 8 local authority areas, funded by Arts Council England. ? develop a stronger, more connected and resilient heritage sector through collaboration with cultural partners, including the independent, private, not for profit and authority sectors. ? showcase Derbyshire’s rich industrial heritage of making & innovation through animating its unique collections, artefacts & stories as the source of inspiration for creative, community and commercial engagement. ? capture and share the untold stories of our industrial making heritage in accessible ways, to ensure they are not forgotten. ? raise knowledge and interest in heritage craft skills, to practitioners and to the wider public and offer opportunities to engage. ? place access and inclusion at its core, delivering significant and positive environmental, social, economic and artistic impact.
