Discovery Student Volunteering Swansea 60th Anniversary

Our heritage is an unbroken chain of young people taking and leading action for 60years, making the world around them better. The stories, experiences, connections and skills created by students consistently volunteering to support the community around them. Our volunteers and other stakeholders have said they want to use the opportunity of our 60th anniversary to celebrate and highlight this. Students have been volunteering in Swansea through Discovery for 60years. We are a small charity originally set up by 3 students remaining student led for all of those decades. Our founders are still in touch, we want to join with them and as many people as we can from those years, to celebrate the incredible achievement and dedication of student volunteers over the years. We want to celebrate the fact that students have been giving their time through volunteering to make a positive difference to the community and environment.
