Documenting Oral Histories of Muchongoyo Dances in Northampton (1980-2020s)
Preservation of cultural heritage by capturing and preserving the rich oral histories associated with Muchongoyo dances from 1980 to the 2020s among the Zimbabwean immigrant community in Northampton. We will ensure that the stories, experiences, and cultural significance of Muchongoyo dances are preserved for future generations. The educational outreach events will provide educational resources and workshops to local schools and community centers to share the history and cultural significance of Muchongoyo dances
