Dualchas do Dhaoine | Heritage for People, 2024 – 2027

Through this project, key priorities taken from the ten-year heritage strategy for the Outer Hebrides, ‘Dualchas do Dhaoine’ will be delivered by new and existing staff of Comann Dualchas Innse Gall (English, the Outer Hebrides Heritage Forum). Working in a collaborative manner with partners linked to ‘Dualchas do Dhaoine’, CDIG staff will advance identified priorities from ‘Dualchas do Dhaoine’. These projects and priorities will include: • skills development opportunities to increase the resilience, diversity and governance of heritage organisations/workforces in the area, • working collaboratively on identified partnership projects such as Heritage Trails, which will increase connection to local places, • strengthening our contribution to our local economy through research and funding opportunities, • enabling more people’s heritage to be recognised and reducing barriers for people under-served by heritage by stimulating engagement with prospective partners. The knock-on benefit for this will be the delivery of transformational long-term heritage projects.
