Aston Martin Heritage Trust (AMHT) wishes to create a sustainable future for its unique museum and archive, and expand its audience to reach more diverse people. After 25 years operating a small museum for c.5000 visitors/year, it has the opportunity to move to alternative sites that would increase engagement, overcome storage and environmental issues, and contribute to a sustainable future. The project will enable Trustees to examine the feasibility of moving, compared to remaining in situ. We will commission audience and market research to understand the appeal and potential of Aston Martin’s heritage to non-visitors for the first time. This will underpin consideration of the future, along with consulting key stakeholders, outline business planning and fundraising feasibility. Through consultant-led workshops with Trustees and Staff, this information will be brought together to enable us to refine our vision and purpose, and identify the best, sustainable route forwards for AMHT.
