Forging a Future will build on our recent capital investment, helping us achieve future stability, economic sustainability, and aid our transition into a centre for national and international research. We would achieve a longer-term vision for our museum; opening up new funding opportunities, retain Museum Accreditation through applying for NPO and work towards securing National Status. Funding would enable us to increase staff capacity to include a Collections Manager, Learning Manager, Events and Learning Officer, Visitor Experience and Volunteer Officer, and Tour Guides to: • increase community participation • to ensure equality for access and inclusion; • deliver high quality learning programmes • retain Museum Accreditation status • offer guided tours to include weekends, supporting volunteer guides, enhancing visitor experience • enable our senior staff to initiate partnerships and collaborative approaches This is to ensure we can best serve our communities, attract visitors, and enhance the museum’s economic stability.
