Nature And Landscape
Our objectives are to: ? Bridge communities across Greater Manchester (GM) ? Celebrate diversity and promote cultural pride ? Preserve GM’s rich heritage ? Foster environmental stewardship Our project aims to build community connections across GM, celebrating cultural diversity while preserving the region's heritage and fostering environmental stewardship. Over the course of a year, this project will bring BAME families and women together to connect with nature through 12 interactive sessions and 12 inspiring heritage walks. Each activity will showcase GM’s rich natural and cultural heritage through hands-on experiences, including guided walks, oral history sessions, and storytelling by local artists sharing culturally significant tales. A designated Heritage Project Coordinator will lead these sessions, providing insights on environmental conservation and heritage preservation. By inspiring communal pride and responsibility, we strive to create lasting appreciation for GM’s diverse heritage and empower participants to protect and celebrate our shared natural and cultural assets.
