Green Talent

We will transform wildlife habitats in green spaces across the most disadvantaged areas of Peterborough, with a focus on amphibians and reptiles. To achieve this, we will run a series of 3-month Placements and longer-term Traineeships and we will actively recruit local people from disadvantaged backgrounds to these roles. They will gain the skills and experience needed to secure employment in wildlife conservation, plus transferrable skills for other employment options, and we will build confidence and self-esteem to enable them to flourish for the future. Through this programme we will both enhance Peterborough’s natural heritage and transform career opportunities for disadvantaged people.
