Grow Wild Seasons: Empowering Disability through Wildlife Heritage Volunteering

The "Grow Wild Seasons" project, led by Grow Wild, a community interest company, aims to engage individuals with disabilities, mental health needs, and neurodiversity in year-round conservation activities. Over 48 weeks, the initiative will involve 18 participants weekly in Kettering and Corby, Northamptonshire, offering them the chance to learn about and contribute to local wildlife and environmental heritage. Activities will include habitat building, meadow promotion, hedge laying, and creating homes for bats, birds, and insects, in collaboration with local organizations like Wildlife Trust BCN and Corby Woodland Project. The project focuses on enhancing participants' physical and mental wellbeing, promoting traditional skills, and raising environmental awareness. Transport will be provided, ensuring accessibility for those without local authority funding. By preserving Northamptonshire's wildlife heritage, "Grow Wild Seasons" seeks to benefit heritage, communities, and the environment.
