We aim to find a permanent home for Hampshire's Strawberry Story, celebrating the region's rich agricultural heritage and the significance of the strawberry industry. By creating an engaging and informative display, we plan to share the historical and cultural impact of strawberry farming in Hampshire. Central to this project is the conservation of the historic strawberry wagon, a unique object that symbolises the county's agricultural past. The legacy of our project will be the creation of a co-produced display that highlights the significant impact of the strawberry industry on Hampshire. Our project will tell a broader narrative, including the stories of local workers, market trends, and the community's connection to the strawberry industry. This includes the conservation of the strawberry wagon, ensuring this object is conserved and in better condition. Our efforts will also enhance community engagement and deepen the understanding of the county's cultural heritage.
