Culture And Memory
Co-creation of a 'mobile museum' collecting and showcasing stories of migration and community organising of two streets of the same name in Hong Kong and Sheffield through 12-week programme of community engagement workshops in the local area of Crookes. The project will culminate in a 6-week public exhibition at Bloc Projects City-Centre gallery to coincide with ESEA (East & South East Asian) Heritage Month as well as Hong Kong’s 10-year anniversary of the Umbrella Movement in September 2024. The project will uncover and preserve at risks histories and heritage of Sheffield's migrant communities at the scale of a neighbourhood street.
