Nature And Landscape

Heart of Horton

The Heart of Horton project will adopt co-design principles working with the local community to explore how to animate a Victorian public park into a well-loved and well-used source of pride. Horton Park will have its historic structures and character restored, become more resilient to the threats of climate change, more biodiverse, and more sustainable and resilient to manage and maintain. A long-lasting community connection to the park will be ignited through meaningful cultural activities and engagement, illuminating its heritage and reimagining its future. The project will culminate in the 150-year anniversary celebration of the original opening of Horton Park in 2028.
