Hendrix at Home and Work: the Trixie Sullivan Archive

Our vision as an organisation is to grow a sense of belonging in musical worlds past and present by sharing the London homes of composer G.F. Handel and rock legend Jimi Hendrix to the widest possible audience. The archive of Trixie Sullivan, an unsung lynchpin of the 1960s music scene, will be auctioned in November. This presents us with a rare opportunity to collect Jimi Hendrix heritage and a responsibility to save this never-before-seen heritage to inspire more people. We aim to acquire items from the archive relevant to our collecting policies, catalogue the new holdings and make them easily accessible through digitisation. Temporary exhibitions, public events and work with our community partners will bring the heritage to visitors and new audiences, including migrant and refugee families. Long-term the collection will be at the centre of a new permanent exhibition to mark the 60th anniversary of Hendrix's death, in 2030.
