Nature And Landscape
Holly Hill Park is one of Fareham's most significant and popular public spaces. The park is part of a chain of green infrastructure assets connected to Hamble estuary. Holly Hill has a rich history as a designed landscape, is a haven for biodiversity, has a significant arboricultural collection, is important in regulating the local climate and supports the health and wellbeing of residents. Holly Hill needs investment to ensure that these benefits continue to flow. The park has the potential to provide further benefits around an understanding of heritage, educational outcomes and it being a place of learning and to acquire new skills. All of these outcomes support the Council's strategic objectives of responding to the climate change emergency, increasing biodiversity resilience and protecting greenspaces, making Fareham a happier and healthier place and a great place to live, work and visit. This project will help us to achieve these aspirations.
