Based at Aberdulais in partnership with the National Trust we will: • Recruit, train, and support 30 non-traditional volunteers using a peer-led model, building a resilient workforce in Community Heritage. • Co-produce & host 14 monthly Showcase Events, 34 Heritage Have a Go Sessions and 30 Environmental and Cultural Well-Being Sessions to engage local communities, volunteers, visitors, and stakeholders. • Increase Aberdulais Falls’ visitor numbers to 10,000, making heritage accessible to all. • Develop diverse heritage guardians to enhance community engagement and safeguard the site’s future. • Improve access to nature and wellbeing for 400 people over 16 months, especially those disconnected from heritage. The project will focus on involving individuals facing adversity, including poverty, discrimination, and exploitation, creating opportunities for those ‘furthest away’ from heritage. Through strong community engagement, it will establish a vibrant Community Heritage Hub in Neath Port Talbot, fostering inclusion and safeguarding Aberdulais for future generations.
