#HP Heritage Channel - broadcasting NEL’s diverse heritage
‘The Heritage Channel – broadcasting NEL’s diverse heritage’ will evolve our successful digital heritage platform to engage new audiences, amplify unheard voices and support the preservation of North East Lincolnshire’s (NEL’s) cultural heritage. We will develop new digital content, train underrepresented groups to tell their own heritage stories and use live streaming to increase engagement. This project will diversify participation in heritage, strengthen our partnerships with local heritage organisations, and build the skills and confidence of people and communities through training and mentoring in heritage production and broadcasting. The legacy of this project will be a rich, inclusive video archive of local heritage, a digitally strong and connected local heritage sector, and a resilient Heritage Channel media platform ready to support place-based and strategic work in the area. Embedded within the Heritage Place initiative, this will support the wider ambition to improve NEL’s sense of place and its heritage value.
