#HP 'Writers, Artists & Musicians on the English Riviera': Local Heritage Grant Awards

Evaluation has shown that an initial round of Local Heritage Grant (LHG) Awards, delivered 2023-2025 with thanks to the Heritage Fund, led to improved confidence within our communities, to design, develop, and deliver heritage projects for themselves. Torbay Council wishes to build on momentum by offering another round of LHGs, to further enable more of our residents to access, participate in, and protect the rich heritage of Torbay. Torbay, a Heritage Place, is committed to place-making through heritage: by valuing our UNESCO Global Geopark designation, delivering our Heritage Strategy, and commissioning a review of how Culture is delivered. By better connecting our communities with their unique and internationally significant heritage, we aim to improve peoples’ health and well-being, whilst ensuring that our listed buildings, outstanding natural landscapes and marine environment are preserved and protected for future generations. Our heritage is what makes Torbay unique - we want to celebrate it!
