artsdepot is celebrating its twentieth anniversary beginning Autumn 2024. Many people have been involved in artsdepot's story campaigning for the creation of a large-scale arts venue for Barnet from 1996. From campaigners and visionaries, to volunteers, staff, Trustees, and importantly visitors, audiences and participants. We estimate 3million visits over 20 years, magical and important moments of creative and cultural celebration and exploration. We will launch a new volunteering programme providing valuable opportunities for skills development and heritage learning. Volunteers will be supported by a freelance heritage professional to build a digital archive of stakeholders' stories, providing content for an interactive venue-wide exhibition profiling the venue's story set against contextual narratives of those times, for 100,000+ visitors. The exhibition will include videos, audio recordings and story boards, with guided tours offered by local volunteers. The project will provide a legacy of volunteering at artsdepot and a heritage timeline on our website.
