Inherently Global

‘Inherently Global’ will create a landmark, interactive experience in the heart of Leicester, illuminating key positive cultural, societal and historical contributions made (regionally, nationally and internationally) by the Global Majority. This project will use heritage to challenge the negative narratives that have often prevailed in the environment and conversations around migration. Inherently Global will be housed in a standalone building, encompassing a vast programme of engagement, focusing on interactivity and the utilisation of digital technology making learnings from these influential stories of the past and present more accessible. The specific stories, cultures and conversations that Inherently Global will focus on will change frequently. At this stage, we want to conduct an options appraisal and feasibility study. This will involve working closely with a steering group to ascertain the ideal project scope, a suitable venue, project themes/focuses, partnerships, governance structure, marketing strategy, as well as undertaking deeper audience consultation.
