KIngs Norton - pitch. putt and paddle

We want to bring together different generations of local people to share their knowledge/feelings on their local neighbourhood. The specific neighbourhood that would be explored is in Kings Norton in South Birmingham. During other activities we have organised, we discovered some interesting facts about this local area and believe it would make a good intergenerational basis for older/young people to explore how their community came about and developed. One aspect is the former Kings Norton Golf Course (now Fairway Estate) and the other is Three Estates Kings Norton which previously was farmland and canals ran underneath transporting goods across country. Local younger people/children will not know about this aspect of community heritage so we would like older people to share their knowledge with them. Older local people treasure these memories of how their community used to be so it is an important historical memory that should be shared and saved.
