Kinlochard Community Land Purchase

The Kinlochard Community Residents Association (KCRA) is the body through which the people of Kinlochard seek to realise the “vibrant, cohesive, functioning and sustainable place to live and work” envisaged by a comprehensive and ongoing community development process - our Kinlochard Community Life Plan (KCLP). Preservation of our natural and cultural heritage is front and centre of our ambitions for our village; community ownership and stewardship of land within our village is considered a fundamental building block in helping us achieve our vision. In support of this vision the KCRA aims to purchase an area of land known locally as ‘The Field’ and ensure its long-term future. The Field is an island of native habitats in an area otherwise dominated by commercial forestry, home to many protected species and to wildlife in general. As such it is a launchpad for biodiversity and environmental restoration.
