Manchester Dashehra Diwali Heritage 2024

Manchester Dashehra Diwali Heritage 24 is a 6-month long research and development programme led by the Indian Association Manchester (IAM). The project will develop a new heritage team of staff and volunteers to learn what to collect and programme for heritage activities. It will collect, preserve and tell 40 Dashehra Diwali stories. It will support 150 children, young people, families, entrepreneurs and elders from the Manchester, Greater Manchester and the regional to learn traditional skills, co-create and share Dashehra Diwali cultural traditions by telling the story of the Ramayan epic. And, give 12,000 people access to Dashehra Diwali culture online and in person through the Manchester Dashehra Diwali Mela and IAM cultural showcases.
