Our vision for the project is to celebrate and conserve the remarkable legacy of a venue that was at the heart of Sheffield's pop culture revolution during the mid-1960s. We aim to illustrate its significant influence on music, fashion, and youth culture and the fact it was based in the seemingly unlikely area of suburban Pitsmoor . Through engaging exhibitions, interactive workshops a comprehensive digital archive and more, we aspire to educate and inspire both current and future generations about the transformative power of King Mojo and the artists that performed. By reconnecting the Pitsmoor community with this vibrant part of their heritage on the club's anniversary, we hope to foster a deeper appreciation and pride in the musical and social history of one of the city's most deprived areas, ensuring that the spirit of King Mojo continues to enrich lives across generations.
