#Natur Blaenau Gwent Flourish and Thrive

Blaenau Gwent Flourish and Thrive is a project led by Tai Calon Housing within the Borough of Blaenau Gwent. The project is part of an overall woodland and green spaces strategy that Tai Calon have developed. Blaenau Gwent is one of the most deprived areas in Wales. This project will transform unused areas of land into thriving food growing hubs. Tai Calon and Earthwatch Europe will support three community partner organisations: One Life Autism, Cefn Golau Together and Friends of Coedcae Community with the initial transformation of the areas and then the ongoing running of the food growing hubs. The project will give members of the local communities an opportunity to grow their own food, learn new skills through onsite training, improve their health and wellbeing and contribute to their local community. The ambition is to develop 10–12 community growing sites in Blaenau Gwent over the next five years.
