Natural Beauty and The Beast

Tale as old as time… Natural Beauty and The Beast. Our primary purpose to conserve and enhance natural beauty. Bodmin Moor steeped in symbolic, ritualistic heritage. Littered with archaeology with whispers of myths and legends carried across expansive moorland, caught in the gorse. A landscape shaped by farmers over millennia. Once an integral resource for thriving local towns providing peat-fuel, prosperous tin-mining, wool and food. The challenges of modern farming alongside managing heritage features; mitigating climate change alongside the need to diversity farm business; and a rural urban disconnect pose a risk to heritage, nature and climate. We will address these challenges forging new relationships with landscape and Cornish identity between communities in Bodmin, Liskeard and Launceston and Moorland farmers. We begin co-designing Farm Action Maps for better landscape and heritage management whilst increasing access for underserved people. Song as old as rhyme… Natural Beauty and The Beast.
