Nature South West: collaborative action for landscape-scale nature recovery

This two-year project will establish and grow Nature South West: a cross-sector regional partnership accelerating large-scale nature recovery across the South West of England. We will enable heritage-rich landscapes to attract blended finance by supporting local delivery partners to collaborate, align efforts, and present aggregated ‘Investable Propositions’. Through technical support, capacity building and business case development, the project will empower initiatives to scale up and meet funder, investor and buyer expectations. Stakeholders have called for well-evidenced, outcome-driven projects delivering environmental, cultural and community benefits. By helping farm clusters and delivery projects coordinate their offers and build strategic partnerships, we will lay the foundations for a self-sustaining delivery model. Acting as the “missing middle,” Nature South West will connect grassroots action with large-scale investment - unlocking the region’s potential for nature recovery, heritage protection, economic prosperity, and improved health and wellbeing through greater access to thriving natural landscapes.
