Nature And Landscape
Working with RSPB and Boston Woods Trust Froglife will create six and restore two large ponds (Freiston Shore, Frampton Marsh & Jenny Wood). Alongside this, Froglife will improve surrounding terrestrial habitats for wildlife. Accompanying the habitat works Froglife will host volunteer sessions and training. We will work with communities, farmers, and landowners in the region to create a Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridor (NWC) running through the Boston region. Public engagement activities include Amphibian Hops, Wildlife Gardening Workshops, talks including lectures at Boston College and attending events in the region. We will install two Speaking Statues; these will be informed through workshops with local communities to create clay representations of wildlife/wild spaces. This two-year project will directly reach 5304 people drawn from the wide range of audiences including HMP North Sea Camp, schools, youth groups and community groups. We will deliver 116 sessions/workshops and 64 wildlife improvement in NWC’s.
