Nepalese Heritage in Kent – an interactive mobile exhibition

We are hoping to achieve the following through our project: Better and higher levels of inclusion and participation by the Nepalese community especially from those who we currently identify as being under-served. Show communities how intangible heritage can be a tool to help people acknowledge and celebrate their differences and commonalities. Shine a light on the current monoculture approach that is often undertaken in relation to the Nepalese community so as to better reflect the diaspora communities’ diversity. Increase the number of Nepalese and wider community members who make links and connections by helping people feel they have learned about other cultures. Help people dispel some of the negative stereotypes and personal biases they might hold about different diverse groups.
