#NTC Nature Positive Portsmouth (Better lives where nature thrives)

Driving transformational change to demonstrate urban nature renaissance in a constrained city The focus is nature recovery, equity and climate resilience. We will reduce environmental factors like urban heating and pollution through increased tree canopy cover, SuDS and networked habitats. Stakeholder engagement delivers landscape scale nature recovery and exceptionally rich and diverse habitats. By unlocking hidden assets and improving accessibility for underserved communities we tackle a green space deficit. Working co-productively with communities, partners e.g. Southern Water, we create and enhance green infrastructure on the streets, in public spaces and schools and social housing areas. We build capacity in the voluntary sector to ensure green assets are health assets for all. Identifying sustainable investment pathways helps ensure action for a diverse natural, healthier, and resilient Portsmouth continues. Partnership and collaboration results in a legacy of civic pride, where empowered communities continue to shape a thriving public realm.
