#NTC Roots to healthy places - Nature connections in Luton

Our project will improve health, access and connections to nature across our communities, with a particular focus on communities already identified as facing barriers to access, including people with disabilities, several minority ethnic communities and young people. This will be achieved by developing strategic partnership networks and capacity to build connections and through a coordinated programme of outreach, activation, nature-based solutions and co-design and capital investment (match-funded) to deliver transformational change across three priority nature recovery green corridors identified within LNRs. Our programme will have the following objectives: 1. Increase access to nature and natural heritage for groups of identified need in Luton 2. Protecting the environment and preserving natural heritage 3. Increasing education, awareness and engagement with natural heritage among all residents 4. Increasing capacity, partnership working and community connectedness to nature 5. Using nature-based solutions to enhance wellbeing, skills and opportunities for residents
