#NTC Tees Urban Nature Network: Connecting communities and restoring natural heritage

Our vision is for an urban Teesside rich in natural heritage, with local communities empowered to reclaim, restore and reimagine their green and blue spaces, fostering vibrant hubs for connection, recreation and environmental stewardship. Using a place-based whole system approach, we will create the conditions for change to ensure urban green/blue spaces thrive, are safer, accessible and reflective of the unique character and needs of our communities. We will collaborate to put the value of green/blue spaces at the heart of decision making, so that communities and organisations can take pride in, and care for, their natural assets. Our programme will capitalise on our unique natural and people assets, to tackle the complex challenge of creating a unified response across diverse partners and communities, recognising that we will need courage to radically change how the development and management of green/blue spaces will be tackled now and in the future.
